It helps prevent the spread of flames and smoke by sealing interior voids around wires, pipes, cables, and other penetrations in wood or steel-framed construction. This fireblock foam is heat-resistant, meets ASTM E 84 (modified) Class 1 standards, and complies with International Building Code (IBC) and International Residential Code (IRC) fireblocking requirements.
