Appleton™ EDS Factory Sealed Tumbler Switches are designed to provide explosionproof and dust-ignitionproof operation in hazardous classified areas. These switches confine arcing within enclosed switches, preventing ignition of ignitable atmospheres during connect and disconnect operations of lighting and light power loads. Ideal for electrical distributors, lighting solutions providers, wire and cable suppliers, and switchgear suppliers, these switches are suitable for use in chemical plants, petrochemical plants, refineries, and other process industries where ignitable vapors, gases, or combustible dusts are present.

  • Factory sealed to UL standards with arcing devices contained within explosionproof labyrinth switch
  • Available in 1/2” and 3/4” 1-gang units suitable for Class I, Group B and other hazardous classifications
  • 20 Amp 4-way and all 30 Amp models feature a separate sealing chamber with flame-tight construction
  • Corrosion-resistant stainless steel hex head cap screws and operating handles ensure durability
  • Choice of front-operating or side rocker arm handle, each lockable in ON or OFF position
