Appleton‚Ñ¢ EDS Factory Sealed Tumbler Switches are designed to provide explosionproof and dust-ignitionproof operation in hazardous classified areas. These switches are ideal for electrical distributors and switchgear suppliers serving chemical plants, petrochemical plants, refineries, and other process industries where ignitable vapors, gases, or combustible dusts are present. The factory sealed design confines arcing within the switch, preventing ignition during connect and disconnect operations of lighting and light power loads, making them suitable for lighting solutions and wire and cable applications in classified environments.
